What is The Student Leadership Challenge®?

In a world of competition and constant change, we need leaders who can guide and empower their teams.

We believe that leadership is a conscious choice to make a positive difference to others by either stepping up for opportunities or in adversity.

That means that leaders can be made.

Through this programme, built upon The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®: Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable other to Act, and Encourage the Heart...

We will unlock the potential within each student to become leaders in their own spheres.

What people are saying about us

Huge thanks to Ian, Sarah and Enoch for their facilitation to bring out the best of my team towards a super cohesive team. This highly engaging programme is packed with self -reflection, team activities. With the safe environment they have created, my team was able to be vulnerable (so be prepared to bring your tissues or handkerchief).
From pre-work, workshop days, coaching, progress report and follow up sessions, this is not just a workshop but a life changing programme. We were able to identify practical and tangible actions to be more efficient in achieving departmental goals, and have more fun as well as being a cohesive team.
I have gained useful insights on myself and my leadership style from the assessment tools and open feedbacks. Thank you for the opportunity to learn these new skills.

Most useful workshop (the five behaviours of a cohesive team) that I attended, it really helped me a lot in understanding my team especially when we are newly merged/ formed. It helped me to embrace each other’s strengths and weaknesses! After the workshop, I felt that the future of the team is brighter and very positive

Thank you Lifeskills Institute for the wonderful and useful leadership workshop. It is definitely applicable to leaders at workplace! Through the 5 behaviours of a cohesive team, I have learnt about the essential attributes that are required for teams to strive collectively. Most importantly, trust is fundamental for teams to function well, in addition to having healthy conflict, ensuring commitment, building accountability and ensuring results.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of leadership training can I expect in this course?

There are 3 tiers of leadership training:

Self Leadership
The first tier is learning to identify personal values and goals and how to translate them into their lives. We teach them ways to lead themselves first.

Peer Leadership
The second tier focuses on the five behaviours of peer leadership. Identify areas of improvement, and learn how to create actionable steps to improve in targeted areas. Find the compass to lead.

Public Leadership
In the third tier of leadership training, students will learn how to influence and motivate others to drive for results. By this tier they will have the communication skills, drive and motivation to do so.

Is leadership training really suitable for primary school students?
