Ian is the Founder and Chief Enabling Officer of Lifeskills Institute. Driven by a singular focus to empower people to live their best lives, Ian enables his clients to discover their purpose, maximise their potential and to lead their communities and organisations with impact. Since 1996, Ian has led Lifeskills Institute’s own transformative growth from a training and consultancy business to the trusted, one-stop Lifeskills authority in Asia it is today.

Ian believes that the best way to grow your organisation is by nurturing your people because human capital is an organisation’s only appreciable asset. With this approach, Ian has helped transform hundreds of thousands of individuals and teams in Singapore and the region. From businesses and governments to educational institutions and non-profit organizations, they have all reaped the benefits of Ian’s training, coaching, career development and leadership programs.

As a Master Facilitator for Zenger Folkman, a leading world authority on strengths-based leadership development, Ian delivers high-impact leadership development and corporate training programs for various key industries, sectors, and markets in the region. As a Certified Facilitator, he also delivers The Leadership Challenge, another world renowed leadership development program.

He is also one of Asia’s pioneer Master Behavioural Consultants, specializing in behavioural analysis, leadership development and strength-based change. As the Master Accreditor of the PeopleKeys®-DISC Personality System™ for the Institute of Motivational Living, Inc. (USA), Ian has accredited thousands of other behavioural consultants such as HR professionals, senior management, trainers & consultants, educators, business owners throughout the Asia-Pacific.

Ian is a Certified Solution Focused Coach in Asia, accredited by the Canadian Council of Professional Certification and recognised by the International Coach Federation (ICF).

His special interests in research, training and consultancy in the fields of human potential, leadership, psychology, learning and personal effectiveness has led Ian to contribute to articles and research which includes:
