Joycelyn is a trained barista, accountant, and musician. Prior to being a trainer, Joycelyn was privileged to explore many different industries ranging from IT to Accounts to Food and Beverages. Being in the field of F&B, she had the opportunity to assist a local venture company to set up its operation of their first café in Singapore.

Driven by her passion for learning and to empower others by imparting her skills and knowledge to others with the same interest, she took up the role as an in-house barista trainer in 2016. Her roles include assisting the café to train new & part-time baristas in basic coffee & food preparation, coffee machine maintenance, and customer service. Through the art of coffee, she had the opportunity to be involved in various engagement such as St Jerome’s Laneway Festival and corporate showcase with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore where she has to present and demonstrate the art of coffee to hundreds of audiences from various countries.

Joycelyn is a Certified Behavioural and Career Consultant (Institute for Motivational Living, US) and also trained barista with coffee knowledge from SCAE (The Specialty Coffee Association of Europe, UK) and Home Coffee Brew Master (Artisan Coffee School, UK).

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) with Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia, and Diploma in Business Informatics from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore. She had the opportunity to practice her skills with a few private limited companies. Her latest appointment with Lifeskills Institute allows her to oversee the financial system of three companies and at the same time assisting in the information technology department to help better the IT system for the companies’ partners in the region.

In the past year, she has had the opportunity to train in a few institutions which include CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School, Nanyang Polytechnic, and, etc.
